CUP FINAL 

The Cup Final will take place at the Brotherhood Hall, Clacton-on-Sea on Thursday 29th April at 7.30 pm

                                                                  RULES AND NOTES

(1) The handicap system is the same as used last season. Full instructions are enclosed. Please keep all information for as long as your team remains in the competition.

(2) The first-named team is entitled to play at home. A result sheet is enclosed for the home team only. Individual matches should be played in the correct order, as set out on the result sheet. Responsibility for returning the result sheet lies with the winning team. Failure to return the result sheet by the due date may lead to elimination from the competition.

(3) Where there are alternatives in Round 2, Team Secretaries will be notified as soon as possible after the Round 1 matches have been played. Please contact me if you have not received a written notification by 29th November.

(4) See League Rule 13(iv) about the use of reserve players.

Notes

The "top-ranked" player plays as "A"/ "X"; the "second-ranked" player as "B"/"Y"; and the "third-ranked" player as "C"/"Z". Where players of the same grade play in the same team, the first-named player above is considered the "higher-ranked" player.

For players not allocated a grade (marked *), Team Secretaries should contact Tony Oswick on the weekend prior to the match - not on the day of the match - to obtain a grade.

Grades are based on last season's averages, the small number of matches played so far, and local knowledge of players' abilities. Please be aware - the allocation of grades is not an exact science!
